Yolanda Meneses is a Lead Promotora and Janitor from San Diego. Since 2018, she has been active in social movements. She became an Industrial Promotora with the MCTF and East Los Angeles Women’s Center (ELWC) and a Self Defense Instructor. As a Lead Promotora, she serves as an Independent Contractor for the MCTF. She leads the work of promotoras throughout the state of California in their efforts providing trainings to other janitors. As a worker leader, she served as a delegate on the Safety Net for All fight for unemployment benefits for undocumented people in California. She is also a volunteer with ACCE and the Fight for 15 campaign. She believes that the most important change begins with oneself.
