Gabby Boyle (they/them) is the prevention specialist at The Sexual Trauma and Abuse Care Center in Lawrence, KS. In this role, they oversee multiple prevention efforts including a nightlife-focused bystander intervention training, community health planning and collaboration, and an interdisciplinary stakeholder coalition dedicated to violence prevention. They are passionate about intersectional, equity-focused strategies that support the most vulnerable in our communities.
Prior to working in the field of sexual violence prevention, they worked in animal care and welfare where they helped develop and implement a low-cost trap/neuter/release program for community cats, a shelter intake diversion program, and a pet food pantry.
Gabby is passionate about many things– here are some in no particular order: artificial intelligence fiction, three-legged cats, Dunkin Donuts, entomology, 80s new wave, contemporary horror cinema, scented candles, clouds, and caudiciform plants.
