Kassamira Carter-Howard (she/her/hers) is an artist, facilitator, and healer, living in Washington, DC. She is an avid daydreamer, astrology enthusiast, and lover of sunflowers. She currently serves as the Director of Programs at Resonance Network. Kassamira combines her creative art practice with her commitment to ending gender-based violence for all people to create trauma-informed, survivor-centered healing spaces.
In her former role as the Policy Associate for Violence Against Women Initiatives at the Biden Foundation, she led the Youth LEADS initiative, a nationwide project to engage in honest discussions with young people about their experiences with gender-based violence and their ideas for creating change. She graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Political Science, Ethnic Studies with a minor in Gender Studies.
