This course will equip victim services providers with tools to provide culturally appropriate victim services to LGBTQIA+ survivors of color and allow participants to examine the impact that actual and/or perceived culture, identity, and/or diversity has on victims/survivors navigating society as well as the various systems that were set up for people who seek safety/support (i.e. the legal, criminal justice, and health & human service systems). This interactive training will incorporate various learning styles and will be a combination of facilitator-led dialogue, multimedia presentations, and individual and/or group exercises.
