Sandra Henriquez is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CALCASA) which works statewide and nationally through PreventConnect, Leadership, Education and Advancement for Professionals (LEAP) and is a managing partner of RALIANCE. Henriquez has worked in the movement to end sexual and domestic violence for three decades, helping to elevate the profile of sexual violence and the work of rape crisis and dual programs throughout the state and nation. Under her guidance, The Coalition continues to evolve and innovate in order to best serve survivors everywhere and prevent sexual violence from happening in the first place. As a thought leader, she brings together voices from across various fields in this effort.
As the CEO at CALCASA, Henriquez has helped to transform the organization’s culture by adopting strategies that center the experiences of those who are most marginalized, amplifying their voices and focusing on creating systemic change. Under Sandra’s leadership, CALCASA’s system-based efforts have led to the creation of partnerships on behalf of incarcerated survivors of sexual violence, immigrants in detention, farmworkers, and janitorial workers in communities throughout California. Sandra believes that “real and transformative change begins when each of us plays our role to advance the anti-sexual violence movement.”
